LIIAR anaylsis of East Riding College

I feel that The East Riding College magazine could have been presented a lot better than it has been.

If I had presented this magazine then I wouldn’t have used the colours black and white. I feel that it doesn’t really show off how good the East Riding College can be.
 It doesn’t stand out, isn’t striking and I can’t see teenagers of our age being enthusiastic about the college.

The Masthead stands out from all the other texts. It’s nice to see that they have kept the rest of the font and colours for the texts the same. It makes it look more of a professional magazine. However I feel that the College Logo could have been different. It doesn’t really stand out to the students.  

The colour scheme isn’t particularly interesting, the contrast between the black and white makes it look dull and boring. I feel with this, it brings across a message that the East Riding College is dull and boring. If I did the magazine then I would have set the colour scheme alongside the colours of the Colleges logo and made the font more of a students way of life, but still easy to read. 

The Image is of a school trip to Berlin but we can’t see the faces of the students. The image does look very picturesque and shows exactly what the students could see at the time.  However the type of picture they have chosen doesn’t show whether the students are having a good time and learning, and where they are staying.
